Freelance Artist
This is a collection of illustrations from my time as a Freelance Artist working for the Press. This was a seventeen year period of my life (1978 to 1995) whilst (at the same time) working full time for the National Coal Board and later Nottinghamshire Social Services.
Soul Mates
It began in 1978 whilst working at Ollerton Colliery. I entered the National Mineworker’s Art Competition at Olympia, Blackpool and won. Winning this competition brought me to the attention of the press and so began my career as a freelance artist providing topical cartoons, cartoon strips, technical illustrations, advertisements, logos, brochures and prospectus’.
