Up a side street in Panjim, Goa, India is one of my favourite little restaurants Vinites. When I sit out on the balcony I can watch the ships coming and going on the River Mandovi either laden or collecting iron ore. It reminds me of when I was a child sitting on the banks of the Tyne in Newcastle.
It’s been an incredibly tough fortnight for me emotionally and physically and when I get to that point I recharge myself by casting my mind into one or two of my favourite memories. This photo really lifts me and when I look at it I’m back there immediately sipping a cold fresh fruit drink and eating from a gorgeous menu. And the view from that balcony is one that I treasure in my mind until I’m sat there again, and one day I will be.
