Winds of change are blowing

winds of change

Into my last three days now with the Child Protection Team before joining the Looked After Children Team on Thursday and once again full of mixed emotions. Not just because of the usual nerves you get when you take up a new job but also a sense of sadness leaving a great team of colleagues who have all become friends over the past eight months. I will miss them all and will very much stay in touch with them.

With only 21 months to retirement I do look forward to my last role and to be honest feel quite blessed to be fit enough at 64 to be still employable. Meanwhile hopefully I’ll get through the next three days without bawling my eyes out or screaming with laughter; a middle line would suit me right now as the winds of change blow.
