Elmer the elephant on Newcastle Quayside

On a bit of a #worldtourofgeordieland today and apart from Spenny, Aycliffe and Belmont I got to spend a bit of time along my favourite quayside which holds many childhood memories for me.

Fabulous to bump into a few of the 17 Elmer elephants dotted all over the North East which highlight awareness to the wonderful work of St Oswalds Children’s Hospice and to cross the Millenium Bridge for carrot cake and Americano coffee at the Baltic Museum after which I managed a quick browse at the Seaside on the Quayside.

Look forward to post-retirement days when I take my great granddaughter Libbee for a long walk along the river and bore her to death with tales of Days Gone By to reinforce her culture.
