Yee tek the high road…

Back in the day, like most artists, I had a full time job and art was something I did to bring in extra income to support my young family. Along with working for the press and creating commercial art I was also involved in signwriting and advertising. These days I don’t sell art but get great pleasure from using my skills to give friends a gift.

This little drawing was created in 2022 as a gift for a friend. At the time we both worked in Childrens Services and had to travel to Scotland to visit a child. As luck had it, it turned out we unexpectedly had to stay overnight in a hotel and one enduring memory was the pair of us trapsing round local shops to buy toothbrushes and underwear. Since my friend loved all things Scottish I drew this little picture as a gift for them.
