Epheseus, Turkey.

Honouring Turkey today. From my 1989 sketchbook a drawing I made at Epheseus on a baking hot day during my first visit to Turkey.

During the visit I hired a car and we went to visit Pamukale Falls. On the way back we ran out of petrol and a kind farmer helped us out by giving us benzene (petrol) from his tractor. With three little children in the car, in the middle of nowhere the outcome could have been very serious had it not been for that wonderfully kind Turkish man.
