Woody Guthrie

Woody was quite an influential American songwriter who counted Bob Dylan and Pete Seeger among fans of his folk music, which largely focused on American socialist themes. Of his best known songs was ‘This Land is Your Land’ – which was one of the first songs I learned to play. when I took up the guitar. Sadly Woody inherited Huntington’s disease from his father and passed away too young at 55.
