Little sketch today as I was thinking about the last time I played chess. I was in India and a friend of ours had a young child of about 8 who needed some practice as she was entering high level competitions. Reluctantly I agreed to play her.
The match was an absolute ball-acher that went on for hours and hours and drained the life out of the pair of us. The very idea of playing now brings me out in a cold sweat although the child went on to win very high level matches to her parents delight. Me? I just occasionally include a chess piece in a piece of my artwork.
